Summer Family Fest Helps Families Get Ready for the New School Year

On July 24, EUSD families gathered at Tierra Bonita Park for the district’s first Summer Family Fest, an event created to make preparing for the new school year easier.

Families could receive help with back-to-school forms, Aeries Parent Portal, ParentSquare and enrollment while accessing vaccinations, children’s eye exams, haircuts and styling, food, backpacks, shoes, school supplies, community resources and family activities.

Gifford C. Cole Middle School students also concluded EUSD’s Summer Band Camp and Performing Arts Camp with performances showcasing the skills they developed through the district’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program.

Continuing Back-to-School Support

Summer Family Fest was one part of EUSD’s broader effort to make preparing for school clearer and more accessible. Families received in-person assistance with the Universal Benefits Application, Aeries Parent Portal, ParentSquare, enrollment and other school-year needs.

Families who still need help completing a back-to-school step can find instructions or request assistance at www.eastsideusd.org/backtoschool.
